Silver Sneakers is a free fitness program for seniors that’s helping millions of people on Medicare defy the odds, shatter stereotypes and answer every challenge with, “I can do this!” Silver Sneakers includes unlimited access to every participating gym and fitness center in the network. That’s a gym membership at more than 14,000 locations with unrestricted access to EVERY location. Weights, treadmills, pools and other amenities are included. We also offer fitness classes for all abilities led by our certified instructors at gyms and other locations.

 

Health plans offer the Silver & Fit plan to eligible Medicare Advantage/Supplement beneficiaries and group retirees. It can help you improve the quality of your life. Improved fitness is a better way of life. After all, regular physical activity is one of the best ways to improve your health. That’s why we started the Silver & Fit® Exercise and Healthy Aging Program.

With Renew Active from UnitedHealthcare®, it’s easy to keep your fitness routine fresh and fun. When you visit any participating location, you’ll have access to a variety of exercise classes, fitness equipment and social activities. And you can visit and participating location at no additional cost to you, since Renew Active is part of your UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plan. If you have questions about Renew Active, please call the toll-free Customer Service number printed on the back of your member ID card.

Follow these three easy steps:

  • Search for a participating location by typing in your address, city, or ZIP code and clicking submit.

  • Get your confirmation ID, which starts with a letter that is followed by nine numeric digits.

  • Print or write down your confirmation ID and take it to a participating location to activate your fitness benefit. You will not receive a card from Renew Active. You will receive a membership card when you enroll at a participating location.
